This is a typical andalucian house, constructed about a 100 years ago, in the town of Ugijar. Unfortunately when we bought the house in 1997 it was already well deteriorated and we could only save a few of the authentic things although we have kept a rustic feel to the place.

It has an inside double storey courtyard, originaly enjoying a fountain in the andalucian style. We covered the patio with a triple glazed glass pyramid that allows excellent light in whilst keeping the elements out! and put in a floor of wood to use the space of the second floor. (see photos)
It is easily possible to take out this floor and replace the ballustrading to create the original andalucian ‘patio’ if desired.

A large part of the house has underfloor heating. There is a solar and gas hot water system.

The house is completely restored and in perfect condition to move into.

The house is large giving many possibilities. For example if you wanted to convert some area to workshop, studio, b&b, or easy living for a large family.
