12th December 2007 Print
Further to the announcement on 17 October of the signing of the joint venture agreement with the US carrier Delta, Air France is now pleased to confirm that its new transatlantic flight from London-Heathrow to Los Angeles is on sale today.

This daily flight will be operated by a Boeing 777 as from March 2008.

Passengers will be able to choose from the Economy (Tempo), Business (Espace Affaires) or First (Espace Première) cabin.

Similarly, Air France will shortly start selling tickets for 13 direct flights between the UK and Ireland and the US operated by Delta on an AF and DL code-share basis (flights commencing 30 March 2008).

“The launch of new transatlantic routes marks a very important phase in our development strategy. The Air France-KLM Group is already establishing itself as a major player in London, one of the world’s fastest-growing air transport markets” stated Bruno Matheu, Executive Vice President Marketing and Networks for Air France.

Since March 2007, the Air France subsidiary CityJet has been operating close to 70 daily flights under the “CityJet for Air France brand” between London-City and Belfast, Dublin, Dundee, Edinburgh, Geneva, Nice, Paris-Orly, Paris-CDG, Strasbourg and Zurich. CityJet for Air France means that Air France can offer a very modern and innovative product and strengthens its position as leader in the business travel market.
