Airport Angel provides sanctuary for air travellers

The Leapfrog Group, the global provider of loyalty, sales promotion, incentive and reward programmes, has today launched Airport Angel (airportangel.co.uk), a global independent airport lounge programme. The programme covers more than 200 airport lounges (including 70 per cent of the most visited airports) for an annual fee of only £65 plus £15 per visit.

To mark the launch, travellers are being offered a free three-month trial over the summer, to coincide with the peak summer travel period. Airport Angel also incorporates airport texts, a unique real-time personal text service which guides passengers through their journey from arrival at the departure airport, right through to the return journey back into the UK. It provides passengers with essential trip updates such as delay, check-in, and boarding and arrival information. There is also the option to provide nominated partners or friends with information to facilitate the onward travel.

In addition, earlier check-in times means spending more time at overcrowded airports. The programme also incorporates a range of ancillary services which include:

- free access to a dedicated customer care team - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- preferential rates on the Travel Health Service; worldwide car hire; the Instant Visa Application Service; airport car parking; accommodation; baggage transit and airport transfers
- Airport Angel works with ClimateCare to provide passengers with the opportunity to offset the carbon emissions incurred through their travel
