Due to increasing demand Iran Air have added a fourth weekly flight from London Heathrow to Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport and have upgraded the aircraft type serving the route to the larger Boeing 747 on the other three days.

This summer flights to Tehran will now operate non-stop from Heathrow Terminal 3 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The service will be effective from March 29 to October 24.

IranAir recently signed a service agreement with Online Flight Specialist, Alternative Airlines, to provide Online Booking and e-Ticketing services through the iranair.co.uk website.

Mr Daryoush Niknam, UK General Manager for Iran Air, said: "We are experiencing heavy demand not just for flights to Tehran, but also for onward connections to the regional cities of Mashad, Shiraz and Tabriz. The new flight and larger aircraft will enable us to offer more flexible itineraries as well as very competitive fares."
