Pet-friendly breaks in UK holiday hotspots

According to recent research, the UK remains a top destination for both long and short breaks. Despite our unpredictable climate, it seems holidays closer to home are attractive for a number of reasons including the lack of language barrier, the eco-friendly aspect and the fact that it avoids the stress of air travel.

This trend is also reflected on Holiday-Rentals.co.uk, the UK’s number one holiday home rentals website, which currently lists over 1,500 properties in the UK and close to 90,000 worldwide.

There are 3 cottages skillfully converted from old barns. All are well equipped with full heating and fitted kitchens with dishwasher, clothes washer, drier, fridge, freezer and microwaves. All have TV / video, DVD and CD equipment. All guests at Rowse receive FREE membership privileges at the nearby famous St Mellion Golf & Country Club, and have access to swimming and spa facilities for the duration of their stay.

2 BEDROOM COTTAGE, SLEEPS 4
This newly renovated country cottage blends modern facilities with period charm and is surrounded by farmland, but centrally located for exploring Cornwall. The master bedroom has a four poster bed, the second bedroom can have two single beds or a super-king size bed and the bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath with power shower. The kitchen is well equipped and the cottage also features oak floors and vaulted ceilings, and there is a wood-burning stove in the lounge for cosy winter evenings and large garden and BBQ area for sunny summer days.

PRICE: £650 per week (18-25 Jul) = £162.50 per person/week

3 BEDROOMS, SLEEP 7
This privately owned lodge with lake view is situated in a peaceful area of White Cross Bay Leisure Park and Marina, a premier holiday park on the shores of Windermere. The lodge comprises of a modern, open plan living area including three leather sofas (one double sofa bed), TV/DVD, stereo, dining area (seating for 6), fully equipped kitchen with large fridge/freezer, cooker and hob. Bedrooms consist of one double room with en suite facilities, one twin room and a single room (twin and single room have three quarter beds) and bathroom. The property is fully double glazed and heated with two sets of French doors leading onto a large split-level decked terrace which overlooks the lake and surrounding fells - beautiful!

3 BEDROOMS, SLEEPS 6
Situated in the beautiful Borrowdale valley, in the pretty village of Grange, Crag Lea commands stunning views of the Lakeland mountains from both the front and the back of the house, with a garden which is fabulous for summer barbeque's. The house is an ideal base to explore the hundreds of walks that go straight from the front door. The cottage is warm and comfortable with a large sitting room (with TV and video player). The kitchen has room for dining and is fully equipped. There are two double rooms and one twin room. The bathroom has bath with additional shower attachment, WC and basin. There is an additional toilet downstairs. Pets are more than welcome in the cottage, although we are unable to accept more than one dog (unless by prior consent).
