Move over Daniel Craig – South America is the star of the show!

23rd October 2008 Print
When Quantum of Solace hits the screens later this month, audiences all over the world will be ogling – not just Daniel Craig, but some of the most stunning locations in Chile and Panama. Film goers who are tempted to see for themselves where the movie was filmed would do well to start with the latest South American Experience brochure, which reflects a knowledge gained over more than twenty years organising holidays to a destination that is home to no less than three of the seven wonders of the world.

THE QUANTUM OF SOLACE CONNECTION

Panama and Nicaragua – Featured for the first time in the South American Experience brochure, options include a tour of the Panama Canal and visits to the idyllic San Blas archipelago, which is made up of 365 islands.

Chile – Alongside top favourites such as Easter Island and the Atacama Desert, the new brochure introduces several new itineraries as well as the Santiago Wine Train, providing a scenic day trip out of Chile’s capital through the vineyards, enjoying fine wines along the way.

Bolivia – There is an ongoing debate as to whether the Bolivia scenes in the film were actually filmed in Bolivia or in neighbouring Chile. A trip to both countries with South American Experience could settle the argument. A new tour for 2009 takes travellers from Puno in Peru to Bolivia, crossing the border near Copacabana and sailing by catamaran across Lake Titicaca to the island of the Sun and onto the Bolivian capital, La Paz.
