Work is about to start on Cabrini House, the turn of the century building located in Honor Oak Rise in East Dulwich, South London, SE23.

Recently Gillcrest Homes was awarded planning permission by Southwark Council to create 14 luxury apartments at this excellent location where the original property fronts onto Forest Hill Road and Honor Oak Rise.

“We are delighted that planners have given us the opportunity to develop this site, particularly as it has fallen into disrepair; the main building, Cabrini House, being a hostel in recent years”, says spokesperson, for Gillcrest Homes.

“There is great potential to provide a 21st century living environment within the current building and with careful renovation and clever additional build we will be able to produce some excellent properties in a prime location within a building much loved by the locals”.

Cabrini House is to benefit from a three storey extension to the side and a two storey extension above the existing ground floor at the rear of the main building. There is to be demolition of some outbuildings and creation of new, all of which will provide 12, two bedroom and 2, three bedroom luxury apartments each with associated parking.

Cabrini House has good access to the A2 and A20 and nearby rail services provides direct access from Honor Oak Park station to London Bridge in 11 minutes and on to London Waterloo East in another 6 minutes with London Victoria that can be reached in approximately 30 minutes.

The apartments are scheduled to be ready by the end of the year with an official opening weekend and show home during the summer.
