FTA’s towing trailers DVD keeps vans safe and legal

The Freight Transport Association’s (FTA) latest instructional 2-disk DVD will give van and light goods vehicle drivers and their managers essential guidance to keep them safe and on the right side of the law when towing.

Towing Trailers with Vans and Light Goods Vehicles can be used to train drivers in the often complex safety aspects of selecting, coupling and driving vehicle combinations, as well as driving techniques, speed limits and reversing.

A second DVD contains manager’s notes and test papers covering driver licensing, operator licensing and drivers’ hours.

The DVD is the third in a series for vans and light goods vehicles, following on from ‘Routine checks for vans and light goods vehicles’ and ‘Safe loading of vans and light goods vehicles’.
