first direct looks to spread the love with changes to its 1st Account

first direct  has announced that it is reducing the monthly amount people need to pay into its 1st Account.  From 1 April the minimum amount new customers will need to put into its account will reduce from £1,500 to £1,000 and from 1 May for existing customers.

"In the last few years we've been focussing on making sure we continue to reward our loyal customers with the great service they've come to expect from us.  However, we now feel the time is right to open our doors a little wider."
 
first direct is the only bank to offer a satisfaction guarantee for people moving accounts whereby new customers receive £100 when they join the bank and a further £100 if they decide to move because they're not happy with the service they've received.
