Connect, Hyde Mews Christchurch

The doors to the stunning new showhome at Hyde Mews, Christchurch are now open to home buyers keen to seize the opportunity to buy a brand new home in the heart of this popular harbour town.

Connect at Hyde Mews, a new development of seventeen two and three bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached houses, is the latest new housing project undertaken by Solum Regeneration, a strategic partnership between Kier Property and Network Rail that sets out to regenerate under-used land near railway stations.

The new Icon, three-bedroom showhome, takes its inspiration from its vibrant coastal surrounds - decorated in a pale grey base palette with accents of claret red, warm yellow and teal. It features an open plan kitchen/dining room with fully-fitted kitchen, spacious living room, two storage areas and French doors opening onto the garden. Upstairs there is an en suite to the master bedroom as well as a family bathroom. Each home has allocated parking and properties are accessed via a secluded driveway.

Jon McDiarmid, head of sales and marketing at Solum Regeneration, said: “We were anticipating high demand for these attractive homes and have not been disappointed. The location is fantastic, the quality is high and the prices are affordable. The new showhome looks amazing and we’re expecting record sales – so we’d urge those keen to buy to view soon.”

Connect is located close to the centre of Christchurch within easy walking distance of the town’s amenities. A new pedestrian walkway, opening soon, will give residents easy access to the nearby Christchurch mainline railway station. From here Bournemouth can be reached in seven minutes, Southampton in 28 minutes and London Waterloo in just under two hours.

With many homes having sold off-plan, Hyde Mews is already beginning to welcome its first residents. Retirees Elizabeth and Jeffrey Dowman from Reading, Berkshire bought a three-bedroom property at Connect after enjoying many happy holidays in the town.

Elizabeth said: “For many years we have been planning our retirement to the Christchurch area and when we saw the new homes at Connect, so well-located in the centre of the town, we knew it was the right kind of property for us.”

“Having the train station within very easy walking distance was a definite bonus, particularly as I cannot drive. It will be easy for me to hop on a train and visit my friends in Reading and my cousin in Southampton without any hassle. It will be lovely to know when I arrive back in Christchurch that I can walk to my comfortable home in just a few minutes.”

The harbour town of Christchurch boasts a distinguished history stretching back to the seventh century and is home to almost three hundred listed buildings, as well as two castles and a magnificent eleventh century Abbey. Modern amenities include a cinema, theatre, cafes, restaurants and a mix of established local shops and boutiques complemented by popular high street names and plenty of supermarkets within easy reach.

There’s a weekly street market, a monthly farmers’ market and a French market. An award winning Food and Wine Festival takes place every May and other events include a jazz festival, regatta and carnival.

Flanked by miles of sandy beaches, Christchurch enjoys ample opportunities for water sports, a superb new Quay development, outstanding cycling routes, golf courses and angling on the River Avon. The New Forest National Park is within five miles.

With homes selling fast, now just four of the 17 two and three-bedroom homes remain.
