New Worcestershire homes make their debut

An intimate collection of just eight family homes has been unveiled in the village of Kempsey, Worcestershire.

Elan Homes has launched ‘off plan’ sales at Derrington Mews, a development of three and four-bedroom detached homes and one bungalow off Main Road.

Potential purchasers are now being invited to a “meet the builder” event on Saturday, November 22, at Connells estate agents in Worcester. The day will be an opportunity for homebuyers to meet the team at Elan and learn about the help on offer and incentives to move. These include part exchange and assisted move for those with a property to sell and the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme, which makes home ownership more affordable.

Andreas Nippe, sales director for Elan Homes in the South, said: “We’re excited to be able to offer eight delightful homes for sale in this charming and traditional village setting. Homebuyers who act quickly and buy early in the build schedule can have their pick of the properties as well as the chance to customise their new home to their own personal taste.”

Currently being marketing by Connells, initial prices are from £270,000 for a three-bedroom bungalow and £340,000 for a four-bedroom detached property. One of the homes has already been reserved.

Andrea added: “There are many advantages to buying a brand new home ‘off-plan’. In an improving property market, it offers the opportunity to secure a preferable position on a development. It also means that once a customer has reserved, they are perfectly placed to take advantage of any upturn in property values, and may even find their home is worth more by the time they move in.

“However, for those planning a long-term move, the main benefit of buying at an earlier build stage is that they can select from a range of interior options and specification choices to help make their home individual to them. These include kitchen units and work tops, bathroom tiles, and other added extras that all add up to make a house a home.

“Another benefit of buying a new home is that Elan can help get people moving, whether they have a property to sell or only a small deposit.”

For those with an existing property, they could opt to use it in part payment towards a new home, through part exchange. Elan will effectively act as their act as cash buyer, meaning they can make a swift and smooth move. Alternatively, the assisted move scheme is available to take the hassle out of selling up as Elan does all the hard work on the seller’s behalf, by arranging valuations on their existing property, marketing the property with an agent and paying all of the fees.

Kempsey is a picturesque village, just three miles south of the historic city of Worcester and surrounded countryside and farmland.

To find out more, the “meet the builder” event is taking place on Saturday, November 22, at Connells estate agents, 3 Foregate Street, Worcester, from 11am to 4pm. Alternatively, visit elan-homes.co.uk.
