Channel 4 has announced it is to go behind the scenes of Britain’s leading take-away and delivery pizza chain in a brand new 1x60 observational documentary produced by ALASKA TV.

Now in its 30th anniversary year, Domino’s Pizza will open its doors to the cameras to serve a taste of the daily (and nightly) life at the pizza chain and capture a range of fascinating characters across the company from the decision making bosses at the top to the office employees and staff at local branches.

Also on the menu is the innovative ‘Pizzacam’, which will tell the story of the customers, following the pizzas out of the oven and into the homes and places of work and play of those who order from Domino’s.

‘Domino’s is produced by London based ALASKA TV who specialise in unscripted programming and has been commissioned by Channel 4‘s Head of Formats, Dom Bird.

Speaking on the commission, Dom Bird said ‘With exclusive access to over 850 shops and a 24,500 strong workforce, Domino’s promises to tell a compelling story about an extraordinarily diverse range of pizza entrepreneurs and customers across our nation.’

Ian Lamarra, Creative Director, ALASKA TV said: “We are delighted to have our first commission from Channel 4. Domino’s is a fascinating company full of great characters and following the pizzas means getting a slice (ho ho) of life from Britain’s homes, workplaces, even trains! Expect the series to be warm, funny and entertaining; we’re excited to be making it.”
