Derby home buyers who want to swap renting for owning are encouraged to visit Castleward for the last chance to own a city apartment on phase one of the development.

Just two apartments now remain for sale at Castleward, as buyers have been keen to take advantage of the opportunity to own a new home so close to the city centre.

Due to the popularity of the homes only the two-bedroom Allestry apartment and the two-bedroom Millward duplex apartment are now available.

To help making city living an achievable aspiration for all, house builder Compendium Living is offering the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme on all homes at Castleward.

Lynn Korczak, Sales Adviser at Castleward, comments: “Our apartments have become popular with first-time buyers because we’ve made home buying even more affordable at Castleward with Help to Buy.

“The Allestry is a stylish, modern apartment and an ideal choice for home buyers looking to take their first steps onto the property ladder, as they can also enjoy the lifestyle and facilities Derby city centre has to offer right on the doorstep.

“For those wanting the convenience of an apartment alongside ample outdoor space, the Millward duplex apartment offers a rare chance to own a city centre apartment with a modern open-plan layout, as well as a large roof terrace.

“We’re encouraging people to come and find out more about purchasing an apartment with Help to Buy, as it offers a more affordable way to embrace city living.

“Those currently renting in the city centre may even find that purchasing a home at Castleward with Help to Buy is cheaper than the property they are currently renting.”

Using Help to Buy, home buyers need only a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage to secure a high specification apartment, backed up by a 20% equity loan provided by the Government.

The Allestry features an open-plan kitchen, dining and living room, with balcony, bathroom and two bedrooms.

The Millward is a duplex apartment and benefits from an open-plan kitchen, dining and living room with balcony, bathroom and two bedrooms. Stairs rise to an additional living area with cloaks, which would make an ideal entertaining room with French doors opening on to the impressive roof terrace with views of the city.

Like all homes at Castleward, the apartments feature high specification finishes throughout, including a fully fitted kitchen, with integrated cooking appliances, fridge freezer and dishwasher, and a stylish modern bathroom.

Lynn adds: “Purchasing a new home can often feel like an overwhelming experience, particularly for first-time buyers, but I’m happy to help them better understand how the scheme works and their eligibility, all they need to do is visit Castleward to find out more.”

Apartments at Castleward are priced from £132,950.

Two three-bedroom homes are also available using shared ownership through Riverside Home Ownership, which allows buyers to purchase a 25% to 75% share of a new home at Castleward. Please contact the marketing suite for more details.

Phase one of Castleward will feature 164 new homes, including one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom homes, and is situated between Derby city centre and the railway station.
