Alistair and Jonny Brownlee will be targeting further triathlon glory at the Olympics this summer, and fans of the sport can discover what it takes to become an Olympic champion by heading to Spain's La Manga Club this spring to take part in a new four-day luxury training camp.

The award-winning resort in Murcia is staging a specialist triathlon workshop from April 28 to May 1, including the opportunity to compete in the Fuente Alamo Triathlon – one of Spain's most prestigious and popular events.

Taking place on Saturday April 30, the 27th edition of the triathlon will feature 1,800 competitors from across Spain and beyond and will consist of a 750m open water swim and 24.4km bike ride, with a five kilometre run to finish.

As part of the camp, participants will have the chance to train using La Manga Club's world-class sporting facilities as well as receiving top coaching and advice on swimming, cycling, running and nutrition from a team of experts including Spanish Olympic triathlete Ana Burgo before putting their new skills to the test.

In addition, triathletes can test their fitness levels in La Manga Club's new High Performance Sports Centre and enjoy complimentary access to the fitness centre including a six-lane 25-metre indoor pool, saunas and steam rooms at Spa La Manga Club.

Prices for the triathlon break – which is based on two people sharing a room – start from €320 per person (approx £246) including three nights' bed and breakfast accommodation in the resort's Las Lomas Village, with secure bike storage and a free resort shuttle bus service also provided.

Renowned as Europe's premier sports and leisure destination, La Manga Club is the ideal training destination for triathletes with everything an athlete needs for all the disciplines that make up the sport: a semi-Olympic indoor pool, open water swimming nearby, a huge variety of on and off-road cycling routes and numerous trails and running routes in and around the award-winning 1,400-acre resort.
