Party goers will be transported to a magical winter wonderland this festive season as a top North Somerset hotel and spa launches its first ever Alpine Ski Lodge.

Four-star boutique hotel DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House in Congresbury has transformed its Garden Room conservatory into a stunning ski chalet complete with log fire, alpine scents, twinkling lights and cosy rugs.

The Après-ski themed space will host festive parties and private events from 24 November 2017 until 6 January 2018, where guests will enjoy the rustic fun of a four-course sharing menu.

On nights where there is a festive disco taking place in the venue’s Great Room, ski chalet guests can join the fun and party until the early hours.

Mimmo Pomo, manager of the Marco Pierre White restaurant and Garden Room at Cadbury House, said: “The ski chalet is something completely new and exciting for Cadbury House and offers groups of friends, colleagues, families and couples the chance to enjoy a Christmas night out in different surroundings.

“This year you don’t need to go to the slopes for a bit of Après-ski as it will be right here! The mulled wine, cider and seasonal cocktails will be flowing and we’re hoping guests enjoy going off-piste from the usual Christmas meal they’ve experienced before.

“The food will be top-notch and is totally inspired by Continental resorts which know how to put on a delicious festive winter spread. The mug of hearty soup on arrival soon makes way for the sharing platter starter which includes Continental meats, smoked fish, breads and cheese fondue.

“The main course choices vary from meatballs to poached chicken to warm winter Niçoise salad and the sharing board of desserts featuring spiced apple strudel and blueberry tart is sure to suit everybody. Hot chocolate and truffles will finish the experience perfectly.

“We’ve worked really hard on getting the ambience of the ski chalet right and although guests will be overlooking a vista of rolling North Somerset hills they will truly feel like they are nestled in the mountains of France or Switzerland!”

The ski chalet experience costs £35 per person or £59 per person for New Year’s Eve.

Groups can book a place on Fridays and Saturdays from 24 November until 23 December 2017 as well as New Year’s Eve.

The space is also available for private hire on all dates between 24 November until 6 January 2018, subject to availability.
