Carols in the Square, the festive annual event organised by The Friends of Battersea Square, will be held this year on Tuesday, December 5th 2017 from 6:30-7:30pm in Battersea Square SW11 3JB.

Sponsored by John D Wood & Co, Barratt London and Thomas’s Battersea, festivities will include a professional brass quintet and community singing led by the Sleeping Trees, the stars of the pantomime Scrooge and the Seven Dwarves, now on at Theatre 503 at the Latchmere.

Confirmed participants will include the choir of St Mary’s Church, Battersea, Thomas’s Choral Society, singers from local primary schools, and Thomas’s Battersea as well as a community choir.

At 7pm, the Christmas tree will be illuminated by the Deputy Mayor of Wandsworth, Councillor Jim McDonnell, followed by more carol singing.

Refreshments available to buy will include Sambrooks Beer, mulled wine, mince pies, hot chocolate and soup.

There will also be several stalls selling seasonal decorations and Christmas candles while the bars, pubs and shops of Battersea Square and Battersea High Street will be open to welcome customers warmly throughout the evening.

Carols in the Square is free to attend but a collection will take place during the evening for two very important local charities: the Katherine Low Settlement and the Battersea Summer Scheme.
