Part exchange proves popular at Dorset developments

Part exchange proves popular at Dorset developments A record number of buyers wanting to upgrade to a larger home are taking advantage of the part exchange option at Barratt developments in Dorset. "Our part exchange deal is proving incredibly popular at Purbeck Gate in Wool and Western Gate in Lytchett Matravers, where half of the homes have now been sold," reports Catherine Ferguson, Barratt sales director.

"In particular, we are attracting a lot of buyers with growing families. They love the fact that they can live in a rural location whilst being within easy reach of the local towns," she continued.

"Also, many have been surprised at just how easy it is to upgrade to a larger home, particularly in the current economic climate. With part exchange, Barratt buys your old home at 100 per cent full market value, so there's no chain and no hassle.

"Just like trading in an old car for a new model, we effectively buy your old home for cash, so you can relax without the worry and cost of selling your property," she added.

Purbeck Gate nestles in the tranquil village of Wool, six miles from Wareham and five miles from the local beauty spot of Lulworth Cove. This development offers a selection of family homes and prices start from £300,000 for a four-bedroom house and from £360,000 for a five-bedroom property.

Western Gate also enjoys a village location in Lytchett Matravers, which lies just six miles from Poole. Current availability here includes three-bedroom houses priced from £249,995 and town house and four-bedroom properties priced from £299,995.
