New show home offers investment opportunity

New show home offers investment opportunity Two stunning new show homes opened recently at Barratt’s Purbeck Gate development in Wool, Dorset, with one offering an exciting investment opportunity.

“The show homes are in our Maidstone and Washbourne house styles,” reports Mark Docherty, Barratt sales director. “The two-bedroom Washbourne has already been sold, but the three-bedroom Maidstone is for sale through our show home leaseback scheme.

“This option is extremely popular with investors as it offers a hassle-free, positive cash flow investment – where a customer buys the property outright from Barratt and rents it back to us at an agreed rental figure.

“The Maidstone is on the market for £244,995 and will yield a monthly rental of £1,225 for a minimum of six months,” Mark continued.

“It’s a lovely house with a lounge with French doors to the garden, a fitted kitchen/diner, downstairs cloakroom and en-suite master bedroom. It’s an excellent investment and the buyer can rest assured that Barratt will maintain the property to the highest standard during the lease period.”

The show home interiors have been designed by Andrew Henry Interiors, an innovative young design practice based in Bristol.

“We asked the designers to convey Barratt’s appeal to a wide range of age groups,” Mark continued. “The three-bedroom Maidstone is a perfect home for a young professional couple or a small family, so the interior has a bright and contemporary feel, with a white, cerise/raspberry and lime colour theme and lots of glass and white furniture.

“The two-bedroom Washbourne offers the perfect home for a more mature couple. The interior is therefore more traditional, with a muted colour scheme of cream and taupe and royal blue highlights. Both homes are quite stunning and I would urge prospective buyers to visit them as soon as possible.”

Current availability at Purbeck Gate includes a selection of two and three-bedroom homes. These include the three-bedroom Maidstone priced from £238,995; the three-bedroom Enbourne priced from £224,995 and the two-bedroom Lulworth chalet, which comes with a large study/third bedroom and has an asking price of £249,995. A two-bedroom coach house is also for sale, priced at £189,995.

“We can offer a number of buyer incentives,” Mark continued. “These include our agency selling service, whereby Barratt instructs an agent to sell the buyer’s existing home, and our part exchange deal for people moving up to a larger property.

“First-time buyers and key workers can take advantage of the Government’s HomeBuy Direct scheme, which allows them to buy a new home for 70 per cent of the purchase price. The other 30 per cent is funded by a joint equity loan from Barratt and the Government’s Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).”

Purbeck Gate is located in the tranquil village of Wool in Dorset. The village is situated on the Isle of Purbeck, part of the Jurassic coastline, and lies six miles from the Saxon town of Wareham and 14 miles from the seaside resort of Weymouth.
