The carnival is coming

15th May 2007 Print
Dunfermline will be the new Rio this Saturday (May 19th), as stilt walkers, jugglers and clowns descend on Redrow’s Middlebank Rise for a day of carnival capers.

Being held to celebrate the opening of the development’s fully furnished show homes, the event – taking place between 11am and 4pm at Middlebank Rise, off Aberdour Road - will be the perfect fun day out for all the family.

A live jazz band will be playing and guests will be able to munch on food from the delicious barbeque, while children are entertained by stilt walkers, face painters, jugglers and clowns.

And those on the hunt for a new home will be in their element – the grand opening of two fabulous show homes should whet the appetite of prospective purchasers for the new release of luxury family homes close to parkland areas.

Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland), says: “There’s nothing like a good carnival atmosphere to help launch our Middlebank Rise show homes in style. There’s fun for all the family and goodie bags for the children to take away.

“Being able to see a show home in the flesh gives an all-singing, all-dancing insight into what your dream new home could be like, and our show properties won’t disappoint. We’ve got some really creative themes, such as water sports, horse riding and wall murals – offering something a little different from the norm. The carnival is a great opportunity for would-be purchasers to come and check out our fabulous homes – and a few lucky purchasers might get something extra is they reserve a new home at the event. ”

Middlebank Rise will eventually comprise 200 new homes, and offers great views of neighbouring Pinkerton Valley. One and two-bedroom apartments, and three, four and five-bedroom homes are planned – offering something to suit most buyers from all stages of life.

Currently available are the Ivel and Fairwood – both three-bedroom designs, along with the five-bedroom Webburn.

Priced from £159,995, the ground floor of the mid-terrace Ivel offers a spacious lounge and dining area, with double doors leading to the garden. The kitchen is located off the living area, and this floor also benefits from hallway, cloakroom and under-stairs storage.

The first floor holds the three-bedrooms, with en-suite to the master, as well as the family bathroom.

The development is well located for commuters and busy families. Set in Dunfermline’s flourishing Eastern Expansion Area, the town centre is just a short drive away. Regular bus services run throughout the vicinity and it is possible to commute to Edinburgh via the Forth road and rail bridges.

Diana adds: “Now is the time to make Middlebank Rise home, as the community in this part of Dunfermline is really starting to flourish. Our carnival will be an amazing day, and who knows, you might even meet some new neighbours! Residents from our previous Dunfermline development are already taking advantage of the wide range of new homes available.”
