Homebuyers snap up off-plan properties

15th August 2007 Print
Eager house-hunters in Burntisland are snapping up properties before they’re even built at George Wimpey’s The Inches development. This development is proving so popular that there are only two homes now available from the original first phase of ten homes for sale this year.

The Inches development, off Aberdour Road features 96 family homes with this initial release of ten homes available this month. This initial phase offers three, four and five bedroom detached family homes from George Wimpey’s Riverside Collection. The prices start from £184,000 for a four bedroom detached home.

The coastal town of Burntisland with its’ unrivalled position overlooking the River Forth, offers homebuyers a great location to call home. Customers will be attracted to this development as it boasts a main-line train station linking this seaside town to all major towns on the east coast, and it also provides easy access to the M90 motorway making Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy, as well as Edinburgh easy commutable destinations.

Karen Armstrong, George Wimpey East Scotland sales and marketing director, commented: “With affordable prices and an excellent location overlooking the River Forth out towards the Inch islands, it’s really no surprise that this development is proving to be so popular already with a wide range of customers. But with only two properties of the original release currently available I’d advise anyone interested in a property at The Inches to move quickly.

“Homes at this development are so sought after that people have to buy off plan and there are advantages to doing so. Your initial financial outlay is minimal with only a reservation fee to pay to secure your plot – this could give you the time you need to sell your current property. Plus getting in right at the start of a development means customers can maximise their budgets because in the current buoyant property market prices for similar plots later on in the development will normally increase.”
