Unconventional new homes in Dunfermline Conventional living has been turned on its head with a brand new house style at Redrow’s popular Middlebank Rise venture in Dunfermline, Fife.

Homehunters are in for a treat with the the four-bedroom detached Rannoch, which has its two main bedrooms on the ground floor and all of its everyday living space above, including a fabulous breakfast kitchen with a central island and French doors onto the raised rear garden.

And to give buyers the chance to visualise this exciting new way of living Redrow has added carpets and light fittings to a finished Rannoch and opened its doors as a ‘walk-through’ view unit.

Entering through the front door, visitors will find the spacious master bedroom to their right, including a walk-in dressing room and en-suite. The second or guest bedroom is also on the ground floor, again with its own en-suite shower room, and there’s also an integral double garage that can be accessed from the hallway for convenience.

A central staircase leads up to the first floor, which houses the spacious lounge, separate dining room, two further double bedrooms, a family bathroom and the fitted kitchen/breakfast room, with an adjoining utility room.

Diana Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (Scotland), says:
“The Rannoch is an unusual design which takes advantage of the site’s topography to create a desirable and spacious home with some attractive features.”

Having the lounge on the first floor provides extra peace and privacy thanks to not being overlooked at street level. The two further bedrooms on this floor, if not needed for sleeping, can be put to lots of other uses such as an office, games room or home gym.

“Equally, having two en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor makes this a very flexible home, especially for those who may need to make space for an elderly or infirm relative at some stage.

“The ‘layered’ effect of the front and back gardens with steps between the two is another interesting feature.

“The Rannoch is a fantastic family home that really needs to be seen to be appreciated, hence the introduction of our walk-through view unit.”

There are a limited number of Rannochs , priced at £249,995, available to move into before Christmas.

It’s just one of the many attractive house designs at the development, which also features a wide selection of one and two-bedroom apartments and three, four and five-bedroom terraced, semi and detached houses, in a landscaped setting on the edge of the town. Current prices are from just £128,995 for a two-bedroom Argal apartment.

And to make life easier for buyers hoping to unwrap a new home during the festive period, Redrow is offering festive deals including mortgage subsidy of £500 for 12 months or part exchange on selected plots.

For those who choose part exchange, Redrow will buy the customer’s existing property, subject to criteria, thus taking the problem of finding a buyer out of their hands completely.

As well as the Rannoch view home, visitors to the development in Aberdour Road can also look round two fully furnished show homes, the three-bedroom Irwell and four-bedroom Welford, which both use an array of colour, textures and fantastic furnishings to show Redrow living at its best.

The outside environment has been thought of too, with Redrow creating managed parkland including woodland, footpaths, cycle ways and play areas in the neighbouring Pinkerton Valley.

Middlebank Rise is part of Dunfermline’s flourishing Eastern Expansion Area and its growing range of amenities, while the town centre is just a short drive away.

It has a semi-rural feel yet is close to the motorway network and just a few minutes drive from Inverkeithing railway station, offering services to Edinburgh and Aberdeen. There are regular bus services in the area and further opportunities to commute to Edinburgh via the Forth road bridge.

The fully furnished show homes and Rannoch view home are open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. To find out more log on to Redrow.co.uk.
