Site manager makes it a treble in national quality awards Taylor Wimpey East Scotland’s site manager Danny McNee has picked up his third NHBC ‘Pride in the Job’ Award. This award highlights Danny’s outstanding performance at the company’s The Inches development in the coastal town of Burntisland in Fife – proving he is one of the best site managers in Scotland.

Recognised as the ‘Oscars of the House-building industry’ - Pride in the Job has been rewarding site managers with excellent standards on site since 1980, and Danny has been hand-picked from thousands of competitors across the UK for an award again this year – taking his tally to three so far.

Danny began his career with the company in August 1971 as an apprentice joiner, and he has risen through the ranks from charge-hand up to his present position of site manager – a role he’s been proud to hold for almost 13 years.

As an experienced site manager, Danny is no stranger to success and he’s played a pivotal role in delivering high-quality developments across Fife for Taylor Wimpey, but it’s a team effort as he explains: “The NHBC ‘Pride in the Job’ Award gives recognition to the teamwork that goes into creating a truly exceptional development, plus it’s a great way to motivate the team to produce consistent and high-quality work. It’s also an impressive accolade that recognises the talent and skills of the whole team at The Inches in Burntisland.”

Adding his congratulations, Ewan Robertson, Production Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland said: “Danny’s latest NHBC ‘Pride in the Job’ Award follows his recent success in achieving an NHBC NVQ Level 5– the equivalent of an Honours or Masters Degree in the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) scoring system. Danny’s passion for the industry is evident in his willingness to continually strive for quality, and he is an excellent ambassador for Taylor Wimpey in Fife and indeed Scotland, and we’re very proud of what he and his team at The Inches have achieved in winning this award.”

Situated in the coastal town of Burntisland, The Inches features 96 family homes. The current phase offers an extensive choice of three and four bedroom detached homes, as well as an impressive range of three-storey four bedroom townhouses– a great choice for families who need more space for everyday living.
