It's a familiar story. Lots of homeowners would like to move house but are struggling to sell their old home, with few viewings and not enough serious interest. But help is now at hand because Barratt in Dorset has revamped its famous part exchange service.

Either they will buy your old home in just seven days when you purchase a new Barratt property. Or they will sell your existing home for you – free of charge – through their Movemaker service. All photography is taken care of and your property is advertised and marketed locally through their website.

Either way, you can buy and sell in one easy move and side-step most of the hassle and cost usually associated with selling your property.

Buyers can get fair market value for their old home and will have no HIPs or estate agents’ fees to pay. Best of all, they will have no worries about the dreaded housebuying ‘chain’ breaking.

“Because of the fall in house prices in the last three years, the gap between the price of your current home and the one you want to move-up to is likely to be significantly smaller than it was in 2007,” said Mark Docherty, Barratt sales director. “So now is an ideal time to move to a bigger home.

“Our revamped Part Exchange service works like part-exchanging a car. We will consider buying your current property so that you are free to buy one of ours. We arrange for the property to be valued by two independent surveyors and make a fair offer based on these valuations.

“We are a guaranteed cash buyer, there’s no chain, no agents’ fees or last minute price haggling.

“Movemaker is another stress-free way of moving to a better home. We will sell your current property for you and do everything a good estate agent does without charging a penny.”

Selected Barratt developments in Dorset have part exchange available for a limited period only on selected homes. These include Purbeck Gate in Wool.

Purbeck Gate is located in the tranquil village of Wool in Dorset. The village is situated on the Isle of Purbeck, part of the Jurassic coastline, and lies six miles from the Saxon town of Wareham and 14 miles from the seaside resort of Weymouth.
