2010 boost for La Manga Club
The prestigious La Manga Club resort in Spain has defied market conditions and seen occupancy rates at its flagship five-star Principe Felipe hotel soar by 70 per cent year-on-year for the first quarter of 2010.
Attractive added-value package offerings for golf, tennis and sport enthusiasts – coupled with strong UK travel trade support and a buoyant winter season for visiting international sports teams – has fuelled demand for what is recognised as one of the world’s consummate sports and lifestyle resorts.
“The first quarter trading is a searing endorsement for our wonderful and unique resort proposition”, said Adrian Constant, La Manga Club’s CEO.
“It demonstrates what can be achieved when you offer great value and quality across a range of business sectors, combined with the unrivalled facilities that La Manga Club has to offer.”
The positive trend has continued across the Easter holidays, a period which saw the hotel fully booked with families, thanks in no small measure to the launch of its new Fundlandia programme.
The Funlandia programme – which will now be extended to run through May half-term, summer and October half-term holidays – includes movie nights, egg races, treasure hunts, crazy golf, karaoke, disco sessions and face painting.
