Relish the classic risotto at Le Méridien Al Aqah

The traditional Italian rice dish, risotto, will feature on the menu at Sapore restaurant during June, offering a selection to tempt all tastes.

For those with a sweet tooth, Taste Thai Restaurant will be marking June with luscious Thai desserts known as ‘ka-nom Thai’.

Le Méridien Al Aqah’s Chef De Cuisine David Miras has mastered the art of cooking risotto and Sapore will offer the most exhaustive selection of risotti. From starter to dessert, from the sea to the land, there is a risotto for every occasion and every palate. The promotion is valid from June 21 to June 30 and the risotti are priced from AED 50 to AED 70.

During June, Taste Thai’s delectable desserts will focus on the spiritual nature of ‘ka-nom Thai’. Carefully prepared using key ingredients such as flour, sugar and coconut,  Thai sweets are not only a great way to finish a meal, they have also been used in Buddhist rituals and ceremonies and are very popular gifts for special occasions. The names of each dessert also represent positive symbolic meanings to promote prosperity and success to the diners. The promotion is valid from June 21 to June 30 and the desserts are priced from AED 38.00 to AED 42.00

Traditional fare is also on the menu at Swaad Indian restaurant, which will offer a mouth-watering selection of chaats. Join Chef Birbal for a culinary journey through the streets of India to showcase the rich heritage of chaats, made famous by eateries in Uttar Pradesh, a state in northern state of India. Chaat, a savory snack, is served as an appetizer to prepare your taste buds for the meal to follow.

Chaat, literally translated as "licking," aptly defines the lip-smacking flavors that make this combination so popular. The scrumptious selection includes chaat masaala, a spice blend consisting of black salt, mango powder made from dried pulp of unripe green mangoes, dried pomegranate seeds, and other seasonings; vegetarian and non vegetarian chaats. The promotion is valid from June 11 to June 20 and the chaats are priced at AED 30.00

Swaad, Sapore, and Taste Thai Restaurant are all open daily for dinner from 7:00pm to 10:30pm. Swaad offers Friday lunch from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. Sapore is open daily for lunch from 12:00pm to 3:30pm.

Views restaurant continues its excellent and well-priced theme nights throughout June. Starting at 7pm, diners can discover the best of Europe to Asia from Festa Italiana on Saturdays, Asian Breeze on Sundays, Vegetarian Night on Mondays, Classic Carvery Night on Tuesdays, and Mexicana on Wednesdays, and Taste of Arabia on Thursdays, and Sea View on Fridays – all priced at AED 120. The popular Views buffet lunch is also available on weekdays for AED 100, and both the lunch and dinner menu include the option of adding AED 39 for unlimited house wine or beer. For a fun-filled Friday, try the special Friday lunch at AED 199, which includes pool and beach access.

Gonu Bar and Grill, on the shores of the resort’s private beach, is open daily offering lunch from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and dinner from 7:00pm to 22.30 and on Week end till 11:00pm in a contemporary and relaxed atmosphere.  The chefs can also create a moonlight dinner, priced at AED 800 per couple including special beverages and a romantic setting under the stars.

Also on the idyllic beach-front, Baywatch Village provides alfresco dining everyday from 10am to 12am. Shisha pipes are also available in a host of different flavors from 5pm, offered together with a delicious pot of tea for only AED 30.

Astro’s, the 20th floor bar with a spectacular view of the Hajar Mountains and the Indian Ocean, is an ideal venue for a full range of after work-beverages. It is open from 6:00pm to 1:00am, from Sunday to Wednesday, and from 6:00pm to 2:00am on Thursdays and Fridays. Will be closed during the world Cup 2010 and will be relocated @ the UG Level till the End of the world Cup 2010.

Tea & Dates, the hotel’s stylish lobby cafe, will be offering a selection of sumptuous pastries, fresh croissants, sandwiches, salads, and dates in addition to a daily cake special. Not to mention some of the finest hot and cold beverages can be found here, including a signature coffee menu making it the perfect place to unwind.  It is open daily from 10:00am to 10:00pm and on weekends from 10:00am to 22.30 and on Week end till 11:00pm.

For private dining, hotel guests can enjoy the convenience of dining in the comfort and privacy of their own rooms through the 24-hour In Room Dining service, which features a range of delicious cuisines for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
