House hunters looking for a fantastic new home in Dorchester had better be quick, as Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties’ Queens Park development is now 85% sold out!

The development, located off Edward Road, has proven so successful that only a handful of homes now remain, and because of this the leading housebuilder is predicting the properties won’t be on the market for long.

One of the homes available is the development’s ‘Home of the Week’, plot 43a, a one bedroom Keats apartment. Perfect for first time buyers, this property comprises a modern open plan fitted kitchen and living room, generous bedroom and contemporary bathroom. The apartment also comes with hallway storage cupboards and its own allocated parking space, all for just £129,995.

Sarah Pasco, regional sales director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “We’re overwhelmed by the success of Queens Park. With its fantastic location in the attractive market town of Dorchester coupled with affordable prices, it’s no surprise that savvy buyers have snapped up the beautiful homes in their droves.”

For those who would like to get onto the property ladder but are in need of a helping hand, Taylor Wimpey is offering the Easystart* scheme. The scheme enables buyers to purchase 100% of the property for just 85% of the price now, on selected properties up to the value of £150,000. Homebuyers simply pay a five per cent deposit to secure the property and pay 80% of the purchase price via their prearranged mortgage.

Sarah added: “The ‘Home of the Week’ would be an ideal first home and with the Easystart scheme, getting a foot onto the property ladder couldn’t be easier! Why not pay a visit to the marketing suite and talk to one of our experienced sales advisers to find out more?”

Queens Park offers a collection of stylish one and two bedroom apartments and two and three bedroom homes. Located just off the Weymouth Road, to the south of the town centre, the development is only a short walk away from Dorchester’s charming historical centre and its range of local amenities including individual boutiques, tea shops and the bustling weekly market.

Dorchester’s two railway stations are just a few minutes away by foot from the development and if you’re travelling further a field, the A35 runs close to Dorchester, providing a convenient route to both the east and the west.
