Burdett & Potter switch Invesco funds

30th June 2011 Print

Rob Burdett and Gary Potter, co-heads of Thames River Multi-Capital, have switched from Invesco Perpetual Corporate Bond Fund to the Invesco Sterling Bond Fund within the fixed income allocation of their Lifestyle range.

Both funds are managed by the same team, but Burdett and Potter believe the latter's size and structure means its inclusion sits more comfortably with the team's top-down assessment of the outlook for fixed income as an asset class.

Burdett commented: "Invesco Sterling Bond is much smaller (at around a tenth of the size of its Corporate Bond counterpart), has a slightly broader investment remit and is more orientated towards the team's best investment ideas. These characteristics, in our view, make it a more flexible proposition and therefore better able to be swiftly repositioned in response to economic and market events - a compelling attraction in today's uncertain and fast moving markets. Having held Invesco Sterling Bond in a number of our other portfolios for around a decade we are very comfortable with its inclusion across the Lifestyle range."
