8th February 2012 Print

Whether in celebration of Valentine’s Day, a spring wedding or a renewal of vows, tall ship specialist Star Clippers’ three graceful, fully-rigged sailing ships provide the most romantic setting imaginable from which to explore the world’s most exquisite islands and coastlines.

Each of the three ships has the ambience of a private yacht, with all the ingredients for lovers and honeymooners: thousands of square feet of billowing, cream sails; teak decking, warmed by the sun; evenings under the stars sipping cocktails in the Tropical Bar; and a relaxed lifestyle, allowing time to do as you please and dress as you wish.

Imagine lying in the bowsprit nets as dolphins dart underneath, riding the ship’s bow wave, or leaning on the rail at sunset as the ship leaves port, Vangelis’ moving `1492, Conquest of Paradise’ echoing across the open deck as a warm wind catches the unfurling sails.

Star Clippers offers special packages for honeymooners, including complimentary champagne and fruit basket on arrival, a €50 on board credit and a celebration cake at the dinner table. For those who wish to have their marriage vows blessed or renewed, the Captain and Cruise Director will conduct a special ceremony on the foredeck, followed by champagne at the Tropical Bar.
