NatWest and RBS are to offer a business current account to all business customers irrespective of their credit standing.


New research from Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank reveals UK businesses are no strangers to saving, with nearly half (45%) putting money aside in a deposit account.


As the economy continues to be as unpredictable as the British climate, new research by Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank shows nearly half (45%) of small businesses have a rainy day fund set aside, so they are financially prepared, whatever the weather.


Bank of Scotland Business Banking has launched a market-leading deposit account for small businesses offering 25bps above base rate (5.64% AER / 5.50% gross p.a.) on balances of £1 and above, a rate that is nearly 40% higher than any deposit product offered by the Big Four banks.


Sister companies, Anderson Travel Ltd and London Mini Coaches Ltd have chosen to finance the acquisition of seven new vehicles via Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank.


British Bankers’ Association (BBA) figures for the main high street banks providing small business services show that term lending grew by 10 per cent over the year to £41.7 billion.


With many of the detailed changes announced in the Budget having an impact on the running of a company, it is no wonder that research from Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank has highlighted that only one in ten (11%) SME owners understand what the proposed changes will mean for them.
