Friends Provident wins two Gold Standard Awards

Friends Provident, the FTSE 100 life and pensions company, won two Gold Standard Awards at the Incisive Media Gold Standard Awards ceremony, held at the House of Commons.

The first Gold Standard Award was for Protection, and the second was for Group Pensions.

The Gold Standard Awards aim to identify financial services companies that excel not just in service, but also in five key areas:

Financial strength
Capability of the company to conduct business
Service
Fair value
Trust

The Gold Standards are one of the hardest, most sought after awards in the financial market place. There have been 48 winners across financial services since the awards were launched in 2003.

Jeremy Ward, head of pensions marketing at Friends Provident, said: “We’re delighted to have won two Gold Standard Awards this year. Receiving awards like the Gold Standards evidences our growing reputation for innovative systems supported by unrivalled service. Our continued success shows our commitment to achieving our goal of being the standard by which all other providers are judged.”

The Award categories have changed this year for the first time since the awards were launched in 2003. The Protection & Healthcare Award was split into two separate categories this year, it’s the fifth year Friends Provident has been successful in a protection category. The Pensions Award was split into individual pensions and group pensions, this is the fourth time the company has been successful in a pension category.
