Budapest hotel makes Condé Nast hot list
The luxury four star Lánchíd 19 design hotel, lanchid19hotel.hu, in Budapest has made it onto the Hot List 2008 that is produced annually by one of the world’s most respected travel magazines, Condé Nast Traveller.The Lánchíd 19 design hotel is featured alongside 65 of the best new hotels in the world that opened during 2007 and the list is published this month (May) in Condé Nast Traveller. The hotel is praised for its innovative architecture and interior design, interactive façade and wonderful panorama.
The Lánchíd 19 design hotel opened in August 2007 and has already received three Hungarian awards. Its interactive façade and the visuals of the hotel have also received Hungarian Design Awards and the building has received the Budapest Nívó-prize of Architecture.
The hotel is located directly on the Danube riverbank on the Buda side of the city, 100 metres from the famous Budapest landmark the Chain Bridge (or Lánchíd in Hungarian) and was Hungary’s first member of the Design Hotels group (designhotels.com). The hotel offers 45 rooms and three suites, all of them with a view of the UNESCO World Heritage sites along the Pest riverbank or the Buda Royal Castle.
Prices are from Euro 156 per room per night in May including breakfast. There are direct flights to Budapest from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool, East Midlands, Glasgow and Belfast.
