BinWeevils.com leads the way for online kids in the UK

31st July 2012 Print

BinWeevils.com, the BAFTA winning social online world for kids aged six to 12, was the most popular digital destination of its type in June. Results from the UK’s industry recognised comScore survey show 972,000 unique visitors went to BinWeevils.com in June, making it the UK’s No 1 kids virtual world.

Amelia Johnson, co-founder of Bin Weevils, commented: “The focus of the BinWeevils online social world is on creativity, education and the provision of a mentally stimulating environment for kids to play in. We recently launched ‘Track Builder’, for example, which allows children to build their own racing tracks and play with their friends. We also encourage them to publish their own magazines, run their own businesses and take part in fun games and quizzes.

“At BinWeevils we put kids in control, it’s their digital world, they feel that they’ve helped create it and it’s by providing this outlet for self-expression and creativity that BinWeevils has become the most popular digital social world in the UK.”

BinWeevils.com will take this popularity into the US as early as the end of 2012. “The social world and its hugely popular characters have international appeal and the roll-out into new English-speaking territories is an inevitable next step,” added Amelia Johnson.
