Wafflemeister will be opening their third store on 19th November 2010, bringing the best handmade Belgium waffles to Notting Hill at 137 Portobello Road, London W11 2DY.

Upholding the legacy, Wafflemeister, uses a secret recipe dating back to the 1950s, which has traveled both across the decades and the channel from Belgium.  To ensure each waffle is made to perfection, they use only natural ingredients produced in Belgium, adding pure sugar pearls, which slowly caramelise in the waffle iron, resulting in the waffle’s delicious contrasting golden bite with a soft centre.

Sometimes only a waffle will do and with Wafflemeister’s wide array of toppings you can customise your ideal treat; be it a decadent Strawberry Heaven, a waffle topped with freshly whipped cream and strawberry’s sprinkled with melted Belgium chocolate fudge or a Dream Team waffle, served with peanut Chocolate gelato.  The size of your waffle can also be customised to match your Little, Classic or Über mood.

Wafflemeister has travelled the world to source ingredients for its sixteen-flavour-arsenal of authentic Italian style gelato: from the Madagascan vanilla pods used in its Vanilla Bean flavour to the Senga Sengana strawberries in its Chunky Strawberry. The energy dedicated to collecting this high-quality range of ingredients extends to the friendly service delivered by Wafflemeister’s staff.

With all of these wonderful flavours, healthy eating is a faraway concern; Wafflemeister is committed to only using natural ingredients that are ethically selected. Frozen yogurt is also available in natural or chocolate flavours, offering a virtually fat-free option that provides a nutritionally balanced, enticing morning alternative to those grainy, dry, breakfast cereal bars.

The location of the new Wafflemeister could not be more fitting, as it’s found on Portobello Road, the heartbeat of Notting Hill and the ideal spot for a foodie fix. The 50s-themed waffle store is designed to evoke the rock ‘n’ roll revolution of the decade and is echoed in the decor with stunning leather finishes and chrome accents.

Open from 8am till 8pm, Wafflemeister caters to morning folk – offering the option of a hearty brekkie as well as night owls hankering for a late-night treat.  A savoury waffle range will be introduced early next year.

The ideology behind Wafflemeister is as clear-cut as the grids in its waffles: to provide a tempting alternative to boring breakfast bars and greasy pastry parlours. The balance of rich and wonderful flavours with healthy and fresh eating options guarantees a treat for all, plus the rock ‘n’ roll atmosphere makes for a buzzy destination for the old and young alike.

Wafflemeister also provides a catering service for private and corporate events as well as Minimeister birthday parties.

The Notting Hill outpost is the third Wafflemeister site (wafflemeister.com) with stores already established in South Kensington (26 Cromwell Place, South Kensington, London SW7 2LD) and Embankment (Embankment Station, Embankment Place, London WC2N 6NS).
