The Pheasant Inn in Higher Burwardsley, Tattenhall is officially Chester’s best loved business 2011.

The delightful, country character inn, which is housed in a 300 year-old sandstone building and boasts magnificent views of the Cheshire Plain, was crowned Chester’s favourite business after coming out top of the love’o’meter during the 14 days of love Valentine’s campaign, which ran on ‘thebestof’ website in February this year.

Voted for by members of the public, the Pheasant Inn – owned and operated by Nelson Hotels – beat off stiff competition from businesses of all types from Chester. Progress for each nominated business was monitored via the love’o’meter on thebestof’s website, as members of the public published testimonials highlighting why their selected business should be crowned the best business in Chester.

The team from the Pheasant Inn was awarded a certificate from The Best of Chester to commemorate the achievement. The accolade joins the AA Dining Award achieved by the five star inn in June 2009.

Lucy Nelson, sales and marketing director of Nelson (North West) Hotels Ltd comments: “We’re delighted to have been chosen as Chester’s best loved business and we’d like to thank everyone who took the time to vote for us. The win is a real credit to the team and is a testament to the love we put into making the Pheasant Inn what it is today; a country paradise retreat serving outstanding, honest wholesome food made using fresh, local produce and one of the finest selections of real ales and renowned wines from around the world.”

The Pheasant Inn has 12 en-suite rooms and is open for food and drink every day from 10am. Booking is advisable.
