FordhamWhite session stylists Philippe Tholimet and Gerard Hawe have again been part of the team responsible for the hair looks at Fashion Weeks in London, Paris and Milan. The duo, both Art Directors at FordhamWhite in Soho, have worked on shows including Paul Smith and Top Shop in London, D&G and Pucci in Milan and Alexander McQueen, Issey Miyake and Stella McCartney in Paris.

A-list hairstylist Tara Smith has tended to the hair of hundreds of actors and actresses over the years, including Demi Moore, Angelina Jolie, Orlando Bloom, Anna Friel, Gary Oldman and many more. This week (October 12) sees the UK release of Mr Brooks, a psychological crime thriller starring Demi Moore alongside Kevin Costner, on which Tara worked as personal hairstylist to Demi.

Leading UK salon owner Rae Palmer has joined premier product company Schwarzkopf as one of their top colour and product ambassadors. Rae’s South Coast salon has been shortlisted for numerous top awards over the last few years, and Rae herself is acknowledged as an industry pioneer, especially for all things colour.

Leading London salon owner Karine Jackson has been announced as a finalist in the hotly contested London category of the British Hairdressing Awards. Karine, a former Charles Worthington stylist, is a renowned colourist and holds the prestigious L’Oreal Colour Specialist Degree, putting her in the top 1% of L’Oreal colourists in the UK.

The annual Most Wanted Awards, run by hairdressing bible Creative HEAD, has become one of the industry events of the year, with the Most Wanted gongs a much lusted-after prize.
