easyJet

Following the collapse of the XL Group, easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has added extra flights from Gatwick to Las Palmas (Gran Canaria), Dalaman (Turkey) and Arrecife (Lanzarote) this October. The additional seats are in response to a lack of available seats between the UK and these key holiday destinations.


As a result of ongoing travel disruption of Eurotunnel services easyJet has added further flights to Paris (Charles de Gaulle) from London Luton this week.


easyJet has unveiled plans to reduce its point of sale (POS) fee on bookings made through Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and other approved third party distribution channels connected to its Application Programming Interface (API). The fee, which has up to now been based on a variable fee of up to £5 (€7.50) per seat (depending on the number of seats booked), will now be set at a fixed fee of £3.30 (€4) per seat.


easyJet has announced another new route from London Gatwick to Istanbul. The new daily route will launch on 12 December 2008, with fares from £35.99 one way (£58.98 return) including tax. This new route to Istanbul brings the total number of routes from Gatwick to 51 this winter and the airline expects over 100,000 passengers to travel on the new service in the first 12 months.


easyJet has announced a new route from London Gatwick to Salzburg in Austria. The new route, which commences on 13 December, will operate three times weekly and offer fares from just £32.99 one way including tax.


easyJet, Europe's leading low-fares airline, today unveiled plans to launch two new routes from Manchester this winter to Sofia (Bulgaria) and Geneva (Switzerland).
