Pizza Hut changes its name

Pizza Hut changes its name For the first time in the company’s 50 year history, Pizza Hut is changing its name. Pizza Hut has changed a lot over the past few years – with huge investment in its restaurants, significant nutritional changes and the launch of a delicious range of 12 Tuscani pastas. To mark the dawn of a new era for the company and because it is so confident in its new menu, Pizza Hut has decided to change its name to Pasta Hut.

Pasta Hut CEO Alasdair Murdoch explains; “We have made significant changes to every aspect of the business over the past few years and we wanted to create a moment in time for people to sit back and take notice. We are confident that people will like what they see when they come into the restaurants.”

In an extensive six-year refurbishment programme, Pizza Hut is investing £100 million in its restaurants. £17 million has been spent on updating over 100 restaurants this year alone, with a contemporary new look and state-of-the-art equipment. “The popular salad bar has been upgraded,” continues Alasdair. “Improvements have also been made in other areas, including nutrition, range and the quality of ingredients in all of our pizzas and pastas, as well as a decrease in salt and saturated fat.”

Events will be taking place nationwide to unveil the new look restaurants and to celebrate this exciting time for Pizza Hut.

The name change will take place for a trial period and customers are invited to offer their thoughts and feedback on the new name and menu at pastahut.co.uk.
