Not only does Mercedes-Benz put its own MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team on the grid and power Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and Force India with engines, the brand also offers the ultimate location and venue for everyone to watch the action from the 2012 Formula1 season.  Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands, in Surrey, will be screening qualifying and race action from around the globe to the home of its own tracks and brand experience centre where visitors will experience so much more than what’s on TV.

Even if you already have access to the right channels on your TV, When it comes to surrounding yourself in the high octane atmosphere of the race, Mercedes-Benz World has a winning formula.  The inspiring state-of-the-art venue is at Brooklands, the home of the world’s first ever purpose built race track.  The whole site has motor racing running through its veins and is complemented by the Brooklands Museum where cars from the early days that fuelled the way to motor racing as we know it today can be seen.

Mercedes-Benz World brings Formula 1 up-to-date with a line up of cars on display to bring visitors even closer to Formula 1.  At the heart of this is the View Suspended II display, equipped with the latest 2012 livery from MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team.  This shows 3200 precision engineered components from a modern day Formula 1 car meticulously arranged by Dutch artist Paul Veroude.  The result is a striking monument to the advanced-technology of Formula 1 that dramatically deconstructs the racing chassis to reveal the cars form but through its inner-most secrets.

Surrounding View Suspended II, a number of cars are on display to get you closer to the teams that will be battling for position throughout the season. The 2010 season MERCEDES GP PETRONAS car driven by Nico Rosberg and seven times World Champion Michael Schumacher, the 2009 Force India driven by Adrian Sutil and Giancarlo Fisichella, the 2007 Vodafone McLaren Mercedes car driven by Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso, and Mika Hakkinen’s 1999 championship winning Team McLaren Mercedes car.

The tracks will also be alive with thrilling AMG passenger rides and driving experiences available from £15 per person – for adults and kids.  And a spectacular driving display from the Silver Arrows Display Team will see four professional drivers in AMG cars perform sensational synchronised manoeuvres with perfect car control on the tracks.  There will even be the chance to win a place in the passenger seat on the day.

Andrew Mallery, Commercial Operations Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars, commented: “With our own track action and sensational Formula 1 exhibits, we will be bringing the Grand Prix to life. If you can’t be at the race, be here at Mercedes-Benz World.”

The Grand Prix Sunday events will show the day-time coverage from the following races, either live or the televised re-run of the race.  Because the Canadian and United States Grand Prix are not televised during the day, these races will not be shown.
