Homebuyers Kevin and Lucy Kimble discovered their ideal home at Taylor Wimpey’s The Pastures development of property for sale in Hoo St Werburgh, Kent.

With a variety of developments offering new homes for sale in Medway, Kevin and Lucy Kimble were spoilt for choice when hunting for their first property.

But after visiting four sites belonging to four different housebuilders, they felt one stood head and shoulders above the others – The Pastures, Taylor Wimpey’s sought-after development of houses for sale in Hoo St Werburgh.

“Two things really stood out for us at The Pastures, and they were the great customer service we received and the amount of living space we could get for our money compared to homes in the same price bracket at the other developments,” says Kevin, recalling his purchasing experience at the Taylor Wimpey Medway development of new homes in Hoo St Werburgh.

“From the second we walked into the Sales and Marketing Suite we received exceptional customer service from the Sales Executive Dawn.

“As first-time buyers we had no experience of purchasing a house, and the amount of time and effort Dawn took in making sure we were clear on the various steps and processes was amazing.

“It was clear she had our interests at heart, unlike other developers’ sales people we had spoken to in the past, who often came across as too pushy.”

With Dawn’s expert guidance, Kevin (31) and Lucy (29) made a stress-free move from rented accommodation to a brand new three-bedroom house at The Pastures with their baby daughter Chloe.

“We’d been renting since 2008 and with a baby on the way we wanted somewhere of our own that offered us all the space we needed,” says Kevin.

“Our minds were made up to buy when we came home one day to find a letter telling us the rent was being put up.

“We visited three developments with other housebuilders and found that the living space we could get for the price we had in mind wasn’t so good.

“So we were amazed at what we found when we then went to The Pastures. We reserved a three-bedroom ‘Alpha’ house which not only has more living space than the other homes we’d looked at, but also came with a garage. No other developer could get anywhere near the deal we got!”

Since moving to The Pastures, Kevin has had some time to explore the local area, and likes what he’s found on the Hoo Peninsula.

“I’ve lived in Medway all my life, but had never been to Hoo,” he says. “It’s a lovely traditional village and just the sort of place that’s perfect for bringing up children.

“It also has an incredibly friendly feel to it – in fact, when we were exploring the area we spoke to a lady who runs a coffee shop in the village who was so friendly that she even offered to show us around!”

A wide selection of high-quality properties is currently on sale at The Pastures, including four-bedroom homes from just £234,500, and five-bedroom detached houses from £349,995.

Homes at The Pastures are set around an attractive green with a pretty duck pond, and have Hoo’s village amenities on the doorstep including a parish church, recreation grounds, schools and a choice of pubs. Hoo Common and the Marina offer ample opportunities for leisure, including walking, cycling and boating.

Just a stone’s throw away are the Medway towns of Rochester and Gillingham, home to a wider range of shopping and leisure opportunities in addition to regular, 50-minute rail services from Gillingham station to London Victoria. The Pastures is also within easy reach of the Channel ports and Eurostar services.
