David Wilson Homes North West, is calling upon local residents to donate Easter eggs, in aid of local charity, The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT).

The Cheshire-based, award winning, housebuilder will be collecting Easter eggs at the sales centres of its 15 developments across the North West ahead of Easter weekend.

Graham Swann, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes North West, comments: “CAFT is a wonderful charity and we are delighted to be able to continue offering them our support. Following the roaring success of last year’s Teddy Bear Amnesty, where our sales centres were inundated with generous donations of cuddly creatures, we decided to encourage local people to donate eggs this Easter.

“Many local people, children and adults alike, will be lucky enough to receive more than one Easter egg this year and the children at CAFT will be very grateful for these contributions.”

Alistair Laing, Charity Relationship Manager at CAFT, adds: "At CAFT we rely on the assistance of the local community, so we would like to thank David Wilson Homes North West for organising the egg amnesty and thanks in advance to anyone who makes a donation for their kind support. We have no doubt that these eggs will be very well received amongst the children.”

The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) is a local organisation which works tirelessly to help terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children in the North West.

CAFT’s Easter Egg Amnesty is part of the continued support David Wilson Homes North West’s Our Space, Your Place initiative has provided the local cause since its launch in November 2010.

Our Space, Your Place, offers funding, resources and assistance to community groups in the North West. The only condition is that the support is used for something that will genuinely enhance or improve a service, facility or the environment within their local area.

Since its launch Our Space, Your Place, has offered its support to more than 30 organisations, charities, schools and volunteer projects. The initiative has not only contributed over £12,000 to the various groups, but members of our office and sites teams have also donated 200 hours of their time to help out with the projects. Fundraising events organised by the team have also generated a further £10,000 for a host of local charities.
