An open day for property hunters is taking place at Water’s Edge in Stoke on Trent next Saturday (April 14) where just a small number of waterside homes remain for sale.

With a scenic canal side setting close to Hanley town centre, the Redrow development has been a popular choice with families, first time buyers and downsizers.

The final two-bedroom apartment is priced at just £99,950, and two spacious four-bedroom family homes are priced from a very attractive £149,950.

The development will be open to visitors for viewings between 10am and 5.30pm.

Anita Williams, sales director for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “With such a small number of homes remaining, time is running out for potential purchasers. The open day gives visitors an opportunity to view the homes, which are all ready to move into, and find out about the NewBuy scheme that could help them take that first step on the property ladder or perhaps move up to a larger home.

Redrow is one of the first developers to offer the Government backed NewBuy initiative, which it launched across England last month.

Designed to kick-start the housing market by underwriting mortgages up to 95% of the property’s value at competitive interest rates, NewBuy will be available to customers spending up to £500,000 on a newly built home, whether they’re a first time buyer or already own a house.

Anita added: “NewBuy will help people who want to take their first step onto the property ladder as well as those who already own a home but are looking to ‘trade up’.”

Lenders participating in the scheme will provide a 90-95% mortgage for buyers who meet their qualifying criteria; the lenders will be protected by a mortgage indemnity guarantee (MIG) jointly funded by Redrow and the Government.

Water’s Edge is now a well-established community with homes that enjoy a location close to the Staffordshire countryside while also benefiting from easy access to the town centre amenities.

The final apartment offers the ultimate low maintenance lifestyle without compromising on the quality and excellent specification for which Redrow are renowned. This is a great option for someone starting out in a home of their own, as well as people who’ve retired and are looking for a new home that is easy to manage and secure.

The final four-bedroom homes are family sized townhouses with integral garages and en-suites to master bedrooms. Customers with a property to sell may find they are able to use their old home to part-fund a move to Water’s Edge with Redrow acting as their cash buyer and taking their house is part exchange.
