There may be many house-hunters, in Sutton-in-Ashfield, who have never considered purchasing a new-build property before. Well, Jelson Homes’ development of three- and four-bedroom properties in the town is a perfect example of what they are missing.

There are many benefits to buying one of these new homes. First, as there is no previous owner, the property will be a blank canvas, ready and waiting for the purchasers to put their own personal stamp on. Secondly, there is no chain, so no risk of any buyers pulling out at the last minute and jeopardising the sale.

Finally, new-build homes are more energy-efficient than older ones, thanks to features such as insulated roofs and up-to-date heating systems. Indeed, all of the homes at Lynton Green have a number of solar photovoltaic panels on the roof, which generate electricity, as well as some more traditional specifications, including sold internal walls. So, as well as saving the environment, buyers can expect to pay less on their utility bills.

The proof, as they say, is in the pudding, with 90 per cent of new-home-buyers stating that they are happy with their property – that’s according to the latest customer satisfaction survey, conducted by the Home Builders Federation.

Jackie Woodward, sales manager at Jelson Homes, said: “We encourage house-hunters in Sutton-in-Ashfield to visit our development. Not only will they be able to find out more about the benefits of buying a new build, but they can also see the fantastic quality of our three- and four-bedroom homes, which start from just £124,950.”

Lynton Green couldn’t be better placed. Located off Lynton Drive, there’s a good range of schools and leisure facilities nearby, and the town centres of both Sutton and Kirkby in Ashfield feature plenty of amenities to satisfy your needs. For days out in the great outdoors, the Peak District’s breathtaking scenery is within easy reach.

Commuter links are excellent – there are rail services from Sutton Parkway station to Nottingham and Mansfield, and car users will find themselves close to the A38 and junction 28 of the M1, providing access to Mansfield, Nottingham and Sheffield.
