The area’s newest care home, The Grange, has welcomed its first residents.

The nine bed boutique nursing home provides a welcome addition to the living options at purpose built retirement village Mayford Grange, on the fringes of Mayford, near Woking.

The first residents have now moved into the home which retains exclusive facilities as well as enjoying being part of the village community. A team of staff including nurses, carers and support staff are on hand 24 hours a day, overseen by Village Manager Gillian Hudson.

Paul Walsh is the Managing Director of Care and Operations for Retirement Villages Ltd. He said: “The opening of The Grange introduces a new tier of living options for those keen to enjoy the lifestyle and surroundings on offer at Mayford Grange but requiring specialist care.

“Mayford Grange is an established part of the local area and a thriving community in itself. The residents of the nursing home are now becoming a valued part of that.”

The home has been designed to a high standard with each en suite bedroom thoughtfully furnished with luxury and comfort in mind. From its position on the first floor the home enjoys views over the village and surrounding countryside. Lift access ensures accessibility while residents have the opportunity to enjoy their own outside space on the terrace.

The care provided includes a range of activities, chosen by residents in conjunction with staff, as well as full co-operation with external professionals.

The Grange is registered with the Care Quality Commission.

Retirement Villages Ltd has been developing and managing bespoke lifestyle and care villages for the over 55s for 30 years. The pioneers of the UK model, the company now has approaching 2,000 residents living in 13 locations spread across 10 counties in the south of the country.
