J Class yacht race spectacle comes to Cornwall

Visitors to Falmouth, Cornwall are in for a real treat this month with the arrival of some of the biggest and finest super yachts.

The J Class Regatta, running from the 26th – 30th June 2012, will see four imposing and beautiful yachts racing together as a fleet.

Velsheda, Ranger, Lionheart and Rainbow are each 140 feet in length, weigh around 200 tons and have crews of up to thirty.

The yachts are a spectacular sight and, whether moored up in the harbour or racing along the coastline, are not to be missed!

Many of the headlands in Falmouth and St Mawes are great places to watch the races, which start from around Pendennis point.
