A long awaited new homes venture in Liverpool is proving popular, with one keen buyer snapping up their preferred property almost straight away.

Redrow has just launched its latest venture, known as The Avenue at Summerhill Park, featuring circa 100 homes from the sought-after New Heritage Collection.

Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), commented: “Since announcing our plans to build new homes in Thingwall Lane we’ve amassed a sizeable database of people who had registered their interest in the homes and we’ve been contacting them to let them know that the first properties are now on sale. One eager customer reserved their new home almost instantly, which is testament to our reputation for building quality homes that people really want to live in.”

The first homes to be released for sale offer a choice of three and four-bedroom designs, with initial prices from £179,995 to £249,995.

The Government-backed NewBuy initiative is available, allowing purchasers to take out a 95% mortgage. It means that savings or equity in an existing property of around £9,000 could be sufficient to secure a mortgage for a three-bedroom Letchworth.

Currently being sold ‘off plan’ until fully furnished show homes are ready to view, the homes at The Avenue will look traditional from the outside with an Arts & Crafts influence. Inside they will be bright and modern with convivial open plan living spaces, well-equipped kitchens and stylish bathrooms and en-suites.

“We’re encouraging customers to visit other Redrow developments including Cressington Heath, near Garston, and Barrow’s Green, Widnes, so that they can appreciate the layouts, quality and finish of our homes. They can also take a virtual tour of show homes across the country via our broadband television channel Redrow.TV,” Lesley added.

The new homes at The Avenue are ideally placed for those who want to enjoy easy access to the shops, bars and restaurants of Liverpool city centre but live away from the hustle and bustle.

The area’s well placed for commuting as Broad Green railway station and the M62 are both nearby.
