Local housebuilder, Walton Homes, has announced that its build programme at Brindley Rise in Rugeley will step up a gear following the sell-out of its Brindley Gardens site, also in Rugeley.

All of the family-sized detached homes at the exclusive Brindley Gardens – which is located on Brereton Road , adjacent to Brindley Rise – have now been sold, with the first homeowners due to move into their new property in August.

Due to an increased demand for high quality housing in Rugeley and the popularity of homes at Brindley Gardens, Walton Homes has committed to building 25 per cent more homes than originally planned at its larger Brindley Rise site, by the developer’s financial year end.

This commitment by Walton Homes follows latest property statistics that reveal a five per cent decline in the number of new homes being built in the West Midlands. From April to June, a total of 992 registrations were completed compared to 2,100 for the same period last year. Nationally the decline in new homes being built was 24 per cent.

Helen Rollason, sales manager at Walton Homes said: “At Walton Homes we are in the fortunate position of being able to move forward with our existing developments at a time when many sites across the UK are stalling and construction is being put on hold. Over recent months we have seen an increasing demand for high-quality new homes in Rugeley and in light of this we have committed to building 25 per cent more homes than originally planned for the upcoming months, at our Brindley Rise site.”

Construction is now well underway at Brindley Rise and the first homeowners are due to move into the new home in September. Walton Homes aims to have built 19 of the 61 homes planned by its year end, with the first homes due to be delivered in August.

Helen continues: “Our Brindley Rise site has been designed with first time buyers in mind and we have launched a number of schemes to help people get their foot onto the property ladder. There is a real mix of house designs at the development, ranging from a one bedroom coach house to three bedroom town houses and a selection of stylish apartments.”

Built to a high specification, the luxury homes at Brindley Rise boast spacious and airy rooms with designer Symphony kitchens fully equipped with modern appliances and stylish décor. The new homes start in price from just £99,950 for a one bedroom coach house and the three bedroom homes start from £139,950.

Walton Homes is a family run housebuilder based in Lichfield, with a track record spanning over 25 years in the regional property industry. The force behind a significant number of regeneration projects and new housing developments in Staffordshire and the wider West Midlands area, Walton Homes has secured a reputation for its bespoke, quality approach to house building.
