Housebuilder welcomes planning approval in Bagworth
A Leicestershire housebuilder has welcomed the decision to grant planning permission for a new residential development off Jackson Road in Bagworth.
Persimmon Homes North Midlands will build 50 houses and a 5,000 square foot retail space to provide Bagworth with a much needed commercial unit. Work is due to begin in September of this year.
The development will create a new community for the people of Bagworth with contributions given to the provision of education, highways, open space and affordable housing under a Section 106 agreement.
Paul Hurst, managing director for Persimmon Homes North Midlands, said: “We welcome this news and look forward to getting construction underway in Bagworth.
“The development will provide a mix of two, three and four bedroom units within easy reach of the M1 and assistance will be provided through a number of housing initiatives to help people take their first step or move up the property ladder with ease.”
Persimmon Homes North Midlands has a range of properties available at developments in Countesthorpe, Thurmaston, Birstall, Stoney Stanton and Leicester. The housebuilder also has developments located across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Staffordshire.
