VW Camper fan pitches up at event and wins top prize

A teenage Volkswagen enthusiast from the East Midlands is hoping that the rain stays away for long enough for him to enjoy his new competition prize.

Jack Millington (14) attended the 2012 Stanford Hall event, entered a prize draw competition and was successful in walking away with the top prize – a VW Camper van tent worth £299 courtesy of Leicester Volkswagen Van Centre.

Stuart Carpenter, sales manager at Leicester Volkswagen Van Centre, said: “The Millington family have owned Volkswagen’s for over 20 years and have been going to the Stanford Hall show for the same amount of time.

“It was great to see the main draw go to a genuine Volkswagen enthusiast, as young as he is, and we’re hoping that we get some better weather soon so that he can get out into the great outdoors and really make the most of his prize.”

Jack added: “I was over the moon when Leicester Volkswagen got in touch to say that I was the winner of the competition. I’m a real Volkswagen nut so I’m really chuffed to have won.”
