Nikon digiscoping kit captures the moment

This month, Nikon will offer a wild-life enthusiasts a competitively-priced limited-edition digiscoping kit. The comprehensive kit includes a carefully-selected combination of fieldscope, eyepiece, digital camera and adapter bracket. As manufacturer both of cameras and sports optics, Nikon is uniquely able to provide a combination of photo technology and optical excellence that can capture nature’s most thrilling moments from afar.

The new digiscoping kit comprises of the lightweight PROSTAFF 5 Fieldscope 60-A, the Eyepiece SEP-25 and the COOLPIX P310 digital camera with adapter bracket. The angled PROSTAFF fieldscope offers comfortable viewing when lying, sitting or standing, and the 60mm objective lens provides a wide field of view whilst maintaining portability. The fieldscope incorporates multicoated lenses for bright, high contrast images with true color rendition and improved chromatic aberration reduction.

The addition of a COOLPIX P310 to the kit can turn impressive scenes into spectacular memories, capturing still images and 1080p HD movie recording with stereo sound. The camera features advanced lens-shift VR (vibration reduction) image stabilisation to deliver consistently sharp results, and incorporates a 16-megapixel backlit CMOS image sensor to ensure extremely bright, high-contrast pictures.

Observing nature demands stunning optical performance from sunrise to sunset, and the high-quality lens of the P310 with fast aperture, 4.2x optical zoom and 24mm wide-angle coverage offers the key to unlock the creative potential of wildlife photography.
