Family Mosaic highlights: Hither Green is one of a new generation of London villages, a quiet enclave with its own independent shops and farmers’ market. Yet rather than its village vibe meaning it is a long commute, Hither Green is just 11 minutes by train from London Bridge. It is here Family Mosaic is set to launch Cinnamon Quarter, its latest collection of stylish shared ownership homes.

Cinnamon Quarter offers six contemporary two-bedroom apartments in an attractive mews setting on Staplehurst Road in the heart of Hither Green village. Located on the historic site of a former biscuit factory, just a short walk from Hither Green station, Cinnamon Quarter is ideally located for people who have busy urban lifestyles but also want to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Lauren Nicholson, Head of Marketing at Family Mosaic, comments: “Hither Green offers a winning combination of village atmosphere and excellent transport connections. It has managed to retain a peaceful atmosphere, yet unlike many of London’s better known villages it has fast rail links directly into central London and still offers good value for money. We hope the launch of Cinnamon Quarter will encourage first time buyers looking for an affordable home to come and take a look at what Hither Green has to offer.”

In the streets around Cinnamon Quarter, a mix of independent shops and eateries are springing up adding to its village atmosphere. Highlights include quirky vintage florist and coffee shop ‘You don’t bring me flowers’ and the Café of Good Hope whose profits go to the Jimmy Mizen Foundation.

The area is well supplied with open spaces - Manor House Gardens and Manor Park are two green oases with cafés, playground and tennis courts, while close by are Greenwich Park and Blackheath. A farmers’ market is held in Manor House Gardens on the first Saturday of every month and Hither Green has the UK’s only 18-hole indoor mini golf course.

While a peaceful place to live, all of the advantages of living in the world’s most exciting city are right on the doorstep. There are fast connections from Hither Green to several central London stations including London Bridge, Charing Cross and Waterloo East, with up to nine trains per hour into central London during the morning peak, making Cinnamon Quarter an ideal commuting base.

All of the homes at Cinnamon Quarter offer spacious, flexible accommodation that maximise use of space. Interiors are fitted with sleek ‘Manhattan’ kitchens fully equipped with integrated appliances, engineered oak flooring in the living areas, stylish white ‘Roca’ bathroom suites and fully carpeted bedrooms. For security, each home has a video door entry system and secure cycle parking is available for all residents.

The homes at Cinnamon Quarter are available under shared ownership, where the purchaser buys a share - at least a 35% - of the home and pays a subsidised rent on the remainder. Buyers can increase their share at any time, all the way to up 100%. To be eligible for the scheme, buyers need to be living or working in the local area, earning less than £64,300 a year and be purchasing the apartment as their first and only home.

Homes at Cinnamon Quarter are priced from £86,783 for a 35% share of a two-bedroom apartment with a full market value of £247,950, based on a minimum single income of £23,410. For further information, visit familymosaicsales.co.uk.
